1. What's the meaning behind your DeviantArt name and why?

Teivos... when the name began its use, I was (obviously) kinda obsessed by basically anything connected with Soviet union. Go and find out the connection, it's not that hard ;)

2. What fandom were you obsessed with when you joined and what are you into now?

Hmm, must have been Half-life and anything army-related. By that time it still could have been the Elder Scrolls phenomenom. Now it's... eh. Elder Scrolls again x) and still army related stuff. Hard to say if I'm really obsessed with anything now. I could say Star Trek, but not so hardcore to go and argue if Enterprise could beat an Imperial Star Destroyer or not.

3. How many watchers do you have now?

249

4. Name 3 of your favorite artists on DA.

:iconpechschwinge: because you have a huge scoop of Talent which you use to make good art,
:iconkirsch-vanderwit: because people who know how to use paint and brush to make art are rare these days,
:iconreptilecynrik: because you created a very sympathetic fantasy universe.
And of course, I have more than just those three as "favorite artists"! ;)

5. Do you comment, fave or both?

Lately mostly fave. Which is a shame D: Should be more naggy and comment more!

6. Do you participate in clubs' contests here on DA?

Yes, you can check it out on my devART page somewhere. But I'm not very active lately.
EDIT: Duh... I should read properly. No, I don't participate in contests, but I am in some groups

7. What is your most popular submission?

According to the statistics on the Dev page, a-teivos.deviantart.com/art/SM… outnumbers all others. I wonder why. Like, okay, it's a very precise rendition of an existing photo, but there's nothing more to it!

8. What are your favourite non-anime TV shows?

Prison Break atm. Battlestar Galactica (the new one). Robot Chicken? ;)

9. What are the things you wish you could draw better?

I'd ask this differently: What are the things you wish you'd be more motivated to draw? Cause then I'd say complex pictures with lots of details which can be considered "finished". I've too much sketches and all sorts of other stuff which is largely unfinished because the process of making a picture usually takes longer than my motivated phase D:

10. Summer or winter?

Summer because it's warm and nice and I don't have to wear 10 kgs of clothing and my feet don't freeze. And it's sun from 6 am to 9 pm. Winter... because it's snow. Mostly. And it makes sense to drinking hot mead :D

11. Tag 0 people!

Damn, who altered the last question? :P

Hey there, people of DA. Long time since I wrote any journal. Time to change that again.

I'd like to announce you the completion of the "Anthro Art Anthology",what is basically a book of many Anthro artists all over the world, complete with their best works and profiles. The book is completely available to the public on it's main website www.aaa.paperfangs.com/?page_i… where you can check for more info and buy it as well! The list of contributing artists (www.aaa.paperfangs.com/?page_i…) is pretty big, includes popular names like hibbary, balaa and screwbald... sometimes I ask myself how did I manage to get there as well XD (top of the list. One advantage of that odd nickname).
If you want to know, where's the worldwide Anthro Art now, it's a book for you! :D

Hey, people. After some time there's need for another journal, since I want to share the results of the newest event I happened to attend.

My first post-apocalyptic LARP I attended. PASS-X (like, 10th anniversary), the second apocalypse, taking place near "Bělá pod Bezdězem" on the north of Czech Republic. It was a hardcore LARP, what meant everything was 'ingame', also the food and water and the gametie was 24hrs/day.

Many of you might think it was fallout-like (since Fallout is a classic). Maybe a bit, but with the setting 200 years after the war it was more like "some technology, loots of garbage and tribal prehistoric stuff". There were cannibals, templars, bikers, technologists, the brotherhood and so on. I was part of the Slovak group, who "came from the vault Red Stone in Slovakia to seek better life".
The premise was that many people were fleeing from the East to seek better life in the West, because there were "fire shots from the heavens and steel men pillaging the lands".

Friday: In the evening (2200) we came on the game site. Of course, the building we had to have was already mined and full of traps. So we got into the costumes and guys from our group began defusing all the devices so we could at least sleep SOMEWHERE.

Saturday: We scouted the vicinity for any human activity and at around 0330 most of us went to sleep. I with one friend guarded the perimeter for any intruders (Others got to know this only at the end of the game. They were quite surprised :D ). At some 0800 people woke up and began solving stuff. We had some wine which was widely used for bribing other factions to join our case. The game was set that most of the factions would be against us since we were a threat, but as the boss said "we were so kind and sweet to everyone that they didnt have any reason to kill us" XD. During the day we searched for some stuff we could sell, got some food and began preparations for a party that was to be held in our building (it was a hospital building with large halls) and which was meant as another "bribing factor" and also as a cover for some other actions. Thanks to our bosses it happened that we owned most of the game in the evening already. I dont know exactly how they did it, but it was quite funny. We also established the "Motořest Řajec", a hotel for people, as another source of income. Of course, in the evening we were warned that people might get the knowledge that we own most of the game's property so we awaited a massive assault. We armed the building, made traps and a door to hold the enemy back from our quarters. What we didnt await was that after the party was over at some 2300, as the "assault" was to be commenced, we got an information that our building was locked as a target for orbital bombing. (There were still people living on the Earth's orbit, called GSS, responsible for those "fire shots and steel men"). 'Course, we ran away and the building got a full blast.

Sunday: For few hours we roamed the game area until we got to the game town called "TAM". We gathered there and our bosses told us that we all had some GSS chips with some program which would serve as a biological weapon, so the people on the orbit had a good reason to kill us. Also the Templars and other ones in the town had a similar reason so in the last while we fleed away. At some 0100 we came to the edge of the game area and ended the game with the result that we successfully fleed from two certain deaths XD

That's mostly it, I had a great time playing a "water seeker", although I didnt do it for long. There were many activities to do, people were also great and there were many interesting costumes and even vehicles to see! I could not mention all what happened on the LARP, since its impossible, but at leat I tried :D
A good post-apocalyptic weekend it was, I say! :D I look forward to the next year :)

One photo rules them all: a-teivos.deviantart.com/art/PA…

Many of you don't know (Since I don't update this chunk of text often) that I was on an event called the "Festival Fantazie 2009", which took part in Chotěboř, Czech republic. This was an 11-day festival for people who are interested in all sorts of 'fantastic' stuff, such as sci-fi, fantasy, TV series and much more.

The statistics say that there were 2000 people, over 1500 programs on roughly 40 program lines. That makes it the longest and largest (program richness-wise) fantasy festival in central Europe. Another interesting thing was that the Festival was the first place to taste the new "Chotěboř" beer. It ended when we drank the entire brewery (44 barrels).

From the programs I enjoyed mostly the "Trekfest", although I'm not a trekkie. They had the most 'teambuilding' activities which were also focused on larger audience - the Sci-Fi campfire (singing the classic campfire songs with sci-fi lyrics around a 'real' campfire) - the Hawai Night (a large happening where everyone had to wear the classic hawai clothing, there was a bar with cocktails and lots of games including Limbo and Cosplay, which I somehow won XD ) Irony was that again, the bar with cocktails fell somehow fast, as they probably didnt await such huge demand for cocktails (especially from the Slovak side, when most of the time we were around the bar)

The later days weren't so full of organised fun or programs, so I mostly spent my time with the Torchwood community. Later, when the new 3rd series of Torchwood came, we watched it each evening.
Apart from that I had 4 presentations during the festival, two about architecture (with large audience), one about Mass Effect and one about SSR (very small audience). Nonetheless, if I had to talk about every day of the festival, this journal would become awfully long and unreadable (Its ALREADY long enough XD).
Therefore I'll conclude it with my subjective verdict of 95% for the entire fest. It was a great, though exhausting experience. For next years it is planned to encourage foreigners to come, as there will be more programs for non-czech-speaking people.

And apart from that, on 16th I'll have my 20th birthday. Compared to the fest it looks almost negligible :D
