After five months there is finished a giftart for .
The time flies like steak through Somalia, and all events slowly become history as well as parts of life. The good remain and the bad are being forgotten. So it is in this case, I want to thank Thala for one great part of life. The good was remembered, and the bad is going to be forgotten anyway! It's another part of life now, with different time and circumstances, though with many people 'from the past'. Like friends for example. Or dragons. Or Dragon friends, ey Thala?
This picture is meant as a sort of 'thanks' also for the nice giftart I received some month ago :3
Why is it named "The longest Dialogue" and why the characters are in such a composition as they are?
Well, the reason for such a composition is simple - I like ancient Rome, and I wanted to put it on some place which is "apart from time and space" - something like a temple (you can count the pavement tiles if you're bored ). I know that despite my attempt to make Thala quadrupedal she looks somewhat "in between" anthro and dragon. I guess.... for a second try (in general) its not that awful . Vlasta is in some wannabe roman armour. Because I like it (And the head computer is back!).
And finally, why do they chat and why is the picture named so? That's pretty simple. I don't remember any other person with who I was able to maintain a continuous communication for one year It had some 'breakdowns' for a while, but in general it works for a long long time
It's perhaps also because Thala's one of few people I can talk openly about ANYTHING with. And that's an ability not everyone posesses.
Thala, I'm glad to be a friend of yours. Still, despite certain stuff going on 5 months ago. Such friends and friendships are rare, and each single one is of great value!
very nice. your roman flavoring is quite quick to pick up on and realy establishes a sense of the long lived communication you where shooting for. great job.
I agree with your observation of the dragon's body. I think the front legs are a bit too arm like, try enlarging the uper arm signficantly. and elongating the muzzle would make for a more clasical dragon. (quickly checks the orginal character as drawn by Thalathis) particualy looking at the character source the shoulder of both wing and front leg are merged together and the legs themself are signifcantly longer.

My sanity is like a puzzle. a Puzzle my friend, that has never been put completely together and is now missng several pieces.
Ay, thanks. The things you have said over here seem to be relevant - I mean you said very well what my picture lacks and WHAT to do to make it better I guess it's gonna change in further pictures. It's just not simple to overcome the "routine" and habit. But thats not an excuse
First off, everyone here at deviantART would like to say THANK YOU!!! We have received an overwhelming amount of enthusiasm for the launch of version 6 and believe that this has been our best-received launch to date.
You might even be one hell of a profesional, but if you don't SHOW it and PROVE it, how will everyone know? These facts are important not only when you are looking for a job, but in any situation when you wish to showcase your work. I decided to share a few guidelines that might help you give the best of yourself and help you be a better profesional.
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
