After some two months of planning this is the result of a collaboration between ~A-Teivos and *Thalathis showing our characters walking down a shopping street in Bratislava. We did each others character after deciding on general stuff like setting and poses, putting all of it together at the end.
*Thalathiss comment: Well having the basic idea since December this took some time to finish. We ran through different stages of finding ideas/planning and in the end this turned out far different from how we planned it in the beginning but that doesnt mean Im not satisfied the result. Not at all I loved working on this project! Doing this was a damn nice alternation to the everyday art everyone does. I never did a collaboration like this one before and Im definitely up to do it again! Its rather interesting to see how ones style corresponds with the style of another person. You can clearly see how everyone works differently and with their own characteristics/techniques. Bringing this to life was a challenge a quiet teaching challenge since in direct comparison to the art of someone else you learn a lot about yourself and the flaws you make. At least this works for me X3 I learned much doing this, especially about pose dynamics and coloring. And most important this was a lot of fun and I think the result is quiet nice in the end! In the end Id like to say that its definitely worth it to leave the traditional path of doing art and try out something new like this! Its entertaining and teaching at the same time! After all even the ancient masters already did collaborations! Think about it
~A-Teivoss comment: Indeed. Because it was done by two people (who can't sit to one table everyday), we had to find some way of doing this project. As Thala, I don't remember of doing any collab like this before (if I'm wrong, repair me) so we had no experiences in the concept of workflow. One thing is to draw your part, other thing is to get it all to a greater mainframe. Especially when the characters interact, its tricky to get it all right, to get all the pieces fit. Therefore the interaction is present, but for starters its not that extreme. Funny is that in the beginning it was meant to be situated on the top of Bridge of Slovak National Uprising (Most SNP) in Bratislava during the night, our characters' poses being completely different. It ended like you can see, on Obchodná street in the center You can argue that they're are our classic characters drawn in the classic style and you're right. But the great thing about it is the way it is done. A collab teaches you something about organising stuff, about long-range communication, about the other one's style and way of drawing. Of course, I want to thank Thala for participating on this project! Great experience, totally worth it! Looking forward to more!
